Introduction of ClawdMojis
ClawdMojis has launched a collection of animated Slack emojis designed to represent the Clawd mascot in various expressions. The emojis are a creative interpretation, showcasing the mascot in relatable, humorous situations like 'Calm Clawd in front of a burning room.'
Technical Details of Emoji Generation
The emojis are created programmatically from a pixel-art grid derived from the original 'Welcome, Clawd' logo. A script processes the logo, isolating elements by color and refining the edges while adhering to pixel integrity, ensuring high-quality visuals regardless of scaling.
Features of the Outputs
Each emoji is a 128×128 PNG or GIF file with a transparent background, making them suitable for Slack's custom emoji requirements. The files remain under Slack's 128 KB upload limit, while various layers and compositing techniques are used to create animated effects.
Customization and Access
Users can browse a live gallery of the emojis, animate them, and easily copy their names for Slack integration. The creative tools used in their creation, including grid analysis scripts, remain open for others to utilize, fostering a wider use of similar techniques in custom emoji development.
