Addressing Outdated Social Previews (v2.0.6)

The AI leaderboard platform released version 2.0.6 to resolve an issue where social media preview cards displayed outdated information. Despite internal updates, social platforms continued to cache and show pre-v2 numbers, such as "14 live benchmarks" and "20 models tracked," instead of the current "10" and "21" respectively. This occurred because replacing the image file on the server did not force social platforms to re-fetch the updated content.

Implementing Versioned URLs for Previews

To rectify the caching problem, the platform now assigns versioned URLs to all preview images, including the homepage card and individual model cards. This forces social platforms to retrieve the latest image when a link is shared, ensuring that the displayed information is current. Existing embeds will continue to show the old image, preventing broken links, and the card generator now incorporates the version token for future updates.

Improving Mobile Display of Specialty Scores (v2.0.5)

Version 2.0.5 addressed a usability issue on mobile devices where tapping a specialty tab resulted in a large block of text obscuring the scores. The specialty-index notice, measuring 586px tall on a 375px screen, pushed the leaderboard content significantly down the page, requiring extensive scrolling to view scores.

Collapsible Notices for Enhanced Mobile Experience

For screens below tablet width, these notices now collapse into a concise summary with a 'More' expander. This change reduces the notice height to 151px, making the leaderboard scores accessible within a short scroll. The visible summary retains critical information, such as the 0 to 10 scale for the specialty index and the clarification that 10 signifies a perfect score, without claiming human parity. Similar treatment was applied to the 'Value view' note regarding cost estimates.
