Arctic Rolls Back Prices After Tariff Refund

Arctic, a manufacturer of PC cooling hardware, has announced a price reduction for its products sold in the United States. This rollback is a direct result of a tariff refund received from the U.S. government.

The refund was facilitated by a Supreme Court ruling in February 2026, which determined that the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not grant the President unilateral power to impose import duties without prior Congressional approval.

Company-Wide Price Adjustments

Arctic is applying the price reductions across its entire U.S. product lineup, not just to items previously affected by tariffs. The company stated that it had absorbed as much of the original tariff costs as possible and committed to reversing price increases if circumstances allowed.

The reduced prices are reportedly already in effect on Arctic’s direct-to-consumer channels, including Amazon and eBay. For example, the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm AIO liquid cooler is now priced at $69.89, marking its lowest price since its launch in the first half of 2025.

Industry Impact and Community Initiatives

Arctic is one of the first PC hardware manufacturers to publicly reverse tariff-related price increases following the Supreme Court judgment. This move could create pressure on other component and peripheral makers who previously cited tariffs as a reason for higher prices in the U.S.

In addition to the price rollback, Arctic is investing in community initiatives. These efforts include hardware donations and technical support to promote technology education and support grassroots PC communities in the United States.
