Triple-Screen Design for Field Professionals

Durabook introduced the Z14I-DX3, a rugged mobile workstation featuring a traditional clamshell design with two additional 14-inch 1080p displays that fold inwards. These DynaVue sunlight-readable touchscreens offer up to 1200 nits brightness and support multi-touch, finger, water, glove, and stylus inputs. The Z14I-DX3 is certified to MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G standards, targeting military, public safety, emergency services, and industrial engineers.

Performance and Portability Considerations

The Z14I-DX3 can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 mobile processors and up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory. It also offers Nvidia discrete GPUs, including the RTX A500 AI accelerator, RTX 3500 Ada, and RTX 5000 Ada, providing up to 682 TOPS of AI performance. The inclusion of three displays increases the device's weight to 9.8 kg and its closed thickness to 137.5mm, classifying it as a luggable workstation rather than a traditional laptop.

Connectivity and Security Features

Connectivity options include Thunderbolt 4, dual RJ-45 Ethernet, two RS-232 serial ports, ExpressCard 54, Nano SIM, eSIM, and various USB ports. Wireless capabilities feature Intel Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional dedicated GPS, 4G LTE, and 5G. For security, the Z14I-DX3 includes multi-factor authentication options such as a smart card reader, optional Windows Hello webcam, RFID/NFC reader, and fingerprint scanner. It also supports quick-release dual NVMe PCIe SSD drives and offers optional secondary batteries.
