ElevenLabs enables direct publishing of AI-generated music to SoundCloud

Audio AI company ElevenLabs announced that its users can now publish AI-generated music from its ElevenMusic platform directly onto SoundCloud. This integration simplifies the process for creators using ElevenLabs' AI tools to share their work with a wider audience on SoundCloud.

As part of this collaboration, SoundCloud Artist Pro users will receive a three-month subscription to ElevenMusic Pro. This professional tier of ElevenMusic allows for the generation of up to 1,000 songs, 500 stem file splits, and five custom styles or vocals per month, providing advanced capabilities for music creation.

ElevenLabs' Music Generation History

ElevenLabs first introduced a music-generation model in 2025, followed by a consumer app in April 2026 for prompt-based song creation. A month later, a new music model was released, capable of genre switching mid-track and handling complex vocals. The company reports that over 25 million tracks have been created using its models to date.

SoundCloud's AI Strategy

SoundCloud has been incorporating AI tools for artists through various partnerships. Last month, it collaborated with Moises for exporting and importing songs. The platform also has integrations with Google Flow Music and Hook, a music remix platform. SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton stated that this partnership opens new possibilities for artists to experiment and build an audience.

Industry Context on AI Music

While ElevenLabs also has a partnership with Spotify for audiobook narration, the broader music streaming industry shows varied approaches to AI-generated music. Deezer is implementing a filter for AI music, and Bandcamp has banned such tracks. Spotify and YouTube are taking a more cautious approach to labeling AI-generated content.
