Introduction of Experiential Gateway

Experiential has introduced an open-source gateway and router designed for AI agent workflows. This tool consolidates access to various AI models, including hosted, bring-your-own-key (BYOK), and local models, through a unified OpenAI-compatible API.

The gateway provides functionalities to control which users and agents can access specific models, for what purposes, and with defined spending limits. This allows for granular management of AI resource utilization within an organization or project.

A core feature of the Experiential gateway is its ability to convert production traffic into a custom router or model. This optimization process aims to improve model quality, speed, and cost-efficiency based on real-world usage data.

Deployment Options

Users can deploy the gateway locally using a simple `pip install experiential` command, which initiates a setup wizard for configuration. Alternatively, a managed hosted platform is available at platform.experientiallabs.ai, offering the same OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic Messages API.

Integration and Setup

The system supports integration with existing coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. Setup involves connecting inference provider keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure, Bedrock, Fireworks, OpenRouter) and re-pointing agents to the gateway for API calls.
