Fitbit Co-founders Launch Luffu Link LTE Health and Safety Band

Luffu Link Introduction

Luffu, a new startup founded by Fitbit co-founders James Park and Eric Friedman, has launched Luffu Link. This device is an LTE-enabled health and safety band designed to monitor the wearer's overall physical and mental health. It combines health sensing, voice logging, location awareness, and the ability to contact trusted individuals without a nearby phone.

Product Availability and Features

The Luffu Link is available for pre-order at $250 and is expected to ship in early 2027. It comes in three colors: halo gold, onyx black, and sterling blue. Users can press a button to capture information via voice, such as medication updates, symptoms, meals, and mood. This information is then organized by the Luffu app.

Integration with Luffu App and Health Monitoring

Luffu Link complements the existing Luffu health-monitoring app, which uses AI to gather family information, learn daily patterns, and flag changes. The wearable continuously collects standard health data, including activity, sleep, resting heart rate, calories burned, heart-rate variability (HRV), and breathing rate. This data is used to identify daily patterns, track changes, and provide personalized insights or alerts.

Target Audience and Company Mission

Luffu was developed based on the founders' experiences caring for family members and aging parents. The company aims to provide families with a clearer picture of a loved one’s health without constant check-ins. The target market includes family caregivers, independent older adults, and health-conscious adults who want to monitor their well-being.
