Fractal Summit: Wood Accents and Airflow

The Fractal Summit mid-tower case incorporates FSC-certified wood accents, particularly noticeable on the White Chalk versions, and solid wood feet. It features an open-face design intended for enhanced airflow. The case supports E-ATX motherboards, large graphics cards, and dual 360mm radiators. It includes three 140mm fans, a front panel 20 Gbps Type-C port, and an integrated GPU support bracket and air guide. Pricing for the Summit ranges from $169.99 to $199.99.

Fractal Define One: Quiet Performance and Aesthetics

The Define One continues Fractal's Define series, which has been available since 2009. This model features a closed-front design, rounded edges, and aluminum side intake vents, aiming to balance quiet operation with thermal efficiency. It includes an integrated air guide for GPU cooling and an integrated GPU support bracket, along with three 140mm fans. The Define One is priced at $154.99.

Design and Performance Considerations

While the Summit's wood grain is more visible on lighter models, its noise-normalized thermal performance was noted as slightly warmer than expected. The Define One, with its closed front, prioritizes sound mitigation and achieves good GPU temperatures due to its integrated air guide. Both cases are designed for ease of building.
