The Google Cloud Developer plugin is now available for installation directly from the Antigravity Marketplace, located in the Build with Google section. This release aims to improve the experience of building cloud solutions using autonomous AI agents on Google Cloud.

Addressing Agent Limitations

Coding agents often encounter difficulties when building cloud solutions due to a lack of cloud-specific context. They may generate deprecated syntax, invalid command flags, or attempt operations without necessary Identity and Access Management (IAM) permissions. Additionally, unguided agents can enable billable APIs or provision cloud resources without explicit user consent. The new plugin is designed to mitigate these issues.

Key Benefits and Features

The Google Cloud Developer plugin offers three main benefits: live documentation grounding, safety and cost guardrails, and environment awareness. It enables agents to query official Google Cloud documentation over streamable HTTP, ensuring access to current information. The plugin enforces least-privilege IAM patterns and requires user consent before enabling billable APIs or modifying cloud infrastructure. It also inspects the local environment, detects existing CLI configurations, and designs safe execution roadmaps.

Configuration is pre-authorized by default, meaning users do not need to configure API keys, exchange OAuth tokens, or edit configuration files. The plugin bundles curated skills, intelligent routing rules, and the Developer Knowledge Model Context Protocol (MCP) server into a single package.
