Google has rolled out a new Bluetooth Diagnostics feature for its Pixel lineup, specifically for the Pixel 6 and all subsequent models, including Pixel Fold devices. This tool aims to provide Pixel owners with a structured approach to identifying the root cause of common Bluetooth connectivity problems.

Targeted Troubleshooting for Bluetooth Issues

The feature allows users to test specific aspects of a Bluetooth connection, such as media audio playback and call functionality. This helps in pinpointing whether the issue lies with audio output, call handling, or other accessory-specific problems, preventing unnecessary broader troubleshooting.

For example, the media test plays a sound and prompts the user to confirm if it was audible, directly assessing the audio path. This is particularly useful for complex connections like wireless Android Auto, which utilizes both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, where Bluetooth handles initial pairing and calls while Wi-Fi manages data.

Accessing the Feature
