New AI-Powered Learning Features in Search

Google Search has introduced new AI-driven tools designed to enhance learning experiences. These features are integrated into both AI Overviews and AI Mode, providing users with interactive and personalized educational content.

Interactive Visuals for Concept Understanding

Users can now generate interactive visuals and simulations directly within Search to understand complex topics. For example, searching for "ph scale" can produce an interactive visual in an AI Overview. Users can further customize these visuals by asking for more specialized plots, such as citrus fruits on the pH scale, in AI Mode. This generative UI capability has launched globally in English in AI Mode and is rolling out in AI Overviews.

Customizable Practice Quizzes

Search now offers customizable practice quizzes for a wide range of subjects, including science, math, humanities, and foreign languages. These quizzes can also be tailored to prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT, AP, ENEM, GRE, JEE, LSAT, MCAT, NEET, and SAT. The quizzes incorporate authoritative content through partnerships with education companies like The Princeton Review, Careers360, PhysicsWallah, and Akira Enem. Practice quizzes are globally available in English, free of charge, in both AI Overviews and AI Mode.

Upcoming Lens Integration

In the coming weeks, Google Lens in Search will introduce a new interactive learning experience. This feature is intended to help users with tricky steps or to double-check their work, further expanding the AI-powered educational tools available.
