Keychron Launches Nape Pro Wireless Trackball Mouse with Customizable Buttons

Keychron, a company recognized for its mechanical keyboards, has introduced the Nape Pro wireless trackball mouse. This new peripheral is designed with a rectangular form factor, allowing it to be positioned underneath a keyboard's spacebar.

The Nape Pro is now available for purchase on Amazon at a price of $89.99. It was initially previewed earlier this year at CES before its official release.

Features and Customization

The Nape Pro trackball mouse includes six programmable buttons and a control dial. These features allow users to customize functions for various tasks. The device also supports up to seven layers of customization, enabling different button assignments based on specific user needs.

Its wireless connectivity allows for flexible placement, such as to the left or right of a keyboard or drawing tablet, or centrally with a split keyboard setup.

Design and Purpose

Unlike many ergonomic trackball mice that aim to replace a traditional mouse, the Nape Pro is presented as a complementary device. Its design allows users to control the cursor without lifting their hands from the keyboard, which can be beneficial for programmers and writers.

The Nape Pro features a 25mm trackball, which is smaller compared to some other trackball mice on the market, such as the Elecom Huge Plus with its 52mm ball.
