QCon AI New York 2026 has opened registration for its two-day conference, scheduled for December 15-16, 2026. The event will be held at The Westin Jersey City Newport, located one PATH stop from Lower Manhattan.

Target Audience and Focus

The conference is designed for senior software engineers, architects, and engineering leaders who are actively involved with AI systems running in production environments. It addresses challenges faced by teams that have moved AI features beyond initial demonstrations and into real-world traffic.

The program committee, chaired by Eder Ignatowicz of Red Hat AI, along with Faye Zhang of Google and Wes Reisz of Thoughtworks, has structured the content to be practitioner-led.

Key Program Areas

The program is organized around six specific areas of production AI. These include agent runtime design, context engineering, evals and observability, MCP and tool access, zero-trust security for tool-using agents, and inference cost and latency. Each topic addresses common problems encountered during the deployment of AI features.

Practitioner-Led Content Selection

Sessions are invite-only and selected by a practitioner committee. The committee evaluates proposals based on whether speakers have experience running systems and models in production and if they will discuss both successes and failures. The schedule does not include sponsored talks or product pitches, maintaining a focus on practical, experience-based insights.

Event Structure and Schedule

Beyond scheduled talks, the conference provides opportunities for attendees to engage with speakers and other engineers on topics such as agent boundaries, evaluations, security, and cost controls. Initial session announcements are expected in August, with a preliminary schedule in October and the complete program by early November.
