Hidden Roku Menus Overview

Roku streaming devices contain hidden menus that provide access to advanced settings beyond the standard user interface. These menus function as shortcuts to performance settings and metrics, enabling users to perform diagnostics, manage network settings, and sideload applications. Accessing these menus requires specific button combinations on the Roku remote or the Roku remote app.

Developer Menu Access

The developer menu is one of the most useful hidden features, allowing users to tap into Developer Settings. This menu provides access to the Roku developer installer and enables management of developer accounts. Through this, users can sideload custom applications and explore the testing environment. To access the developer menu, press Home three times, then Up twice, followed by Right, Left, Right, Left, and Right.

Network and Wireless Settings

Another hidden menu provides access to Network Settings, where users can check their connection status, activate bandwidth saver mode, and find their IP and MAC addresses. This menu is accessed by pressing Home five times, then Right, Left, Right, Left, and Right. For more detailed wireless diagnostics, the Wireless Secret Screen allows users to check signal strength, glitch rate, run speed tests, and reset the network. This screen is accessed by pressing Home five times, then Up, Down, Up, Down, and Up.

Ad Experience Adjustments

Roku also includes a Secret Screen 2 menu, which allows users to adjust their ad experience. Within this menu, users can cycle through image service options, screenshot output formats, and ad channels. Screenshot output settings can also be modified here. Access to Secret Screen 2 is achieved by pressing Home five times, followed by Up.
