Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 17 Pro Max with 9,210mAh Battery and Three-Day Battery Life

New Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Released

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, a new smartphone model. This device is equipped with a 9,210mAh dual-cell silicon-carbon battery, which is the largest battery Xiaomi has included in a phone sold in Europe. In some other markets, the phone is available with an even larger 10,000mAh single-cell battery.

Extended Battery Life and Charging

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is designed to offer up to three days of use on a single charge, or up to 37 hours of continuous video playback. The silicon-carbon battery, with its 16 percent silicon content, contributes to its high energy density. The phone also supports 100W wired charging, which can fully charge the device in just over an hour, or provide a day's worth of power in 20 minutes.

Xiaomi states that the battery is expected to retain 80 percent of its capacity over 1600 charging cycles, estimated to be around six years of use.

Design and Specifications

Despite its large battery, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is thinner and 8g lighter than an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Key specifications include a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 6.83-inch OLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The phone also has an IP69K rating.

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Market Availability and Pricing

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is going on sale in Europe, Australia, Latin America, and other global markets, with a price equivalent to $499. It is the top model in a series of four new Redmi Note 17 phones. Other models, such as the $249 4G-only Note 17, also feature large batteries, with the latter having a 7,700mAh capacity, a 6.99-inch OLED screen, and IP65 protection.
