Introduction of AirGo A6 Smart Glasses

Solos has launched a new version of its AirGo smart glasses, now named AirGo A6. This model stands out by eliminating cameras, resulting in a reduced weight of approximately 19 grams compared to last year’s AirGo A5, which weighed between 36 to 40 grams depending on the frame style.

Design Enhancements and Features

The AirGo A6 features slimmer temple arms that house speakers, batteries, and electronics, contributing to its lightweight design. The glasses provide hands-free access to an AI assistant capable of answering questions through voice commands, offering real-time translations, and setting calendar reminders. Additionally, users can listen to music or take calls while staying aware of their surroundings, thanks to speakers positioned behind the ears.

Pricing and Availability

As of now, pricing and availability for the AirGo A6 have not been finalized. The glasses will be compatible with full prescription lenses and will be available in multiple styles, including transparent options that showcase their internal electronics.

Moreover, Solo has introduced new privacy accessories for the previously released AirGo V2 smart glasses, which aim to enhance user privacy.

Privacy Accessories for AirGo V2

These accessories consist of $39 non-powered transparent replacement temples available in various colors and a $49 clip-on privacy shield that blocks the V2’s camera. The privacy shield can also be bundled with clip-on sunglasses for UV protection, with the total accessory bundle priced at $79.
